Make your own homemade hoisin sauce to avoid all the added sugar in the store bought variety.
1/4 c low sodium soy sauce (tamari for gluten-free)
2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
2 medjool dates, pitted
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
2 tsp rice vinegar
1 clove minced garlic
1 tsp sriracha
1 tsp mellow white miso paste (gluten-free)
pinch black pepper
1. Place all ingredients into a food processor and blend until completely smooth. Can keep in a tightly sealed container in the fridge for up to a month.
